What I can offer for groups

I can offer group art therapy to all age ranges whether children and young people, adults or elderly. Group art therapy  offers a different experience in comparison to one-to-one art therapy as the dynamics within a group are so unique due to participants coming each week with different recent events that have happened, different moods and experiences, meaning each week can vary greatly.

Group sessions would last 1.5 hours and would have around 4 - 8 participants. The group would usually have people of similar ages, experiences or conditions so that they can benefit from being in a group with similar needs/abilities. The art materials that may be used in the group sessions are;

 - Paint (Acrylic, watercolour and ready mixed)

- Clay (Air drying and foam)

- Pastels (Soft and oil)

- Drawing materials (pencils, pens, markers)

- Other arts and craft materials for creating and collaging.

Benefits of group art therapy can be;

- Socialisation

- Confidence

- Communication

- Problem solving

- Self-esteem

Sometimes group art therapy may be more beneficial for the participants instead of one-to-one art therapy, however this would depend on a case by case basis. If you are unsure what would be best, please don't hesitate to contact me and we can discuss the options available.

If you are interested in group work however not therapy, I also offer art for mental health groups which would not go as deep into the participants' mental health and wellbeing.
